Very disappointing and negative experience re service, server and "management" at this location. Visited evening of 12/26 w/our son, his wife and 3 grandsons as we were in town and taking them out to dinner. My adult son's salad was brought to the table and he asked the female who served it about our appetizer which had not arrived. She said she'd check on it and returned saying it would be out in a few minutes at which time my son said never mind as the order clearly hadn't been put in and it had been some time since we'd ordered so hopefully our meals would be out soon. No utensils were ever brought to the table and eventually my husband got up and found some in a bin around the corner from our table. Hadn't seen our server, Bashar, in a very long time which lapses continued throughout the meal. 2 kids' meals were brought out for two of my grandsons and not for the 3rd one who had ordered one as well. Eventually Bashar found his way back to our table and said sorry about the appetizer but when questioned about our food not having come yet but the 2 boys' had he said that's the way Texas Roadhouse does it and most parents want it that way so they always do it that way unless you request otherwise. We all commented we had never had that happen at that or any other location and he said that's the way it always is. My adult son said we wouldn't be back and Bashar said he was sorry and a short time later a young male employee came to the table and said he'd give us a free appetizer next time we come in. No idea who he was as he never identified himself and appeared to be another young server or host. He said it's "industry practice" to deliver kids' meals before parent/adult meals and that it's also the practice at Texas Roadhouse. I mentioned my middle grandson had ordered off the kids' menu as well and he had no comment about that other than "oh". Our food and my middle grandson's food eventually came out after our other two grandson's had finished their meal. My husband and I dine out frequently for personal and business purposes and this was a new low at any restaurant of any kind. We were visiting the Ogden area and while we had dined at this location without incident one time last month when we were there we will not return due to the experience we had last week. Can only assume this incident is due to poor employee selection, training or management . Both of my adult children worked as servers for many years as teens and young adults and agreed this was/is completely unacceptable and an issue for management to address.

This was a great steak experience. My dinner was prepared exactly as I ordered, medium rare and th e11 oz. steak was enough for lunch the next day. Great salad & sweet potato as well. We'll go here again!

For a chain steak house this is very, very good. Its loud and crowed. Probably because the food is good and cheap and they hire cute wait staff. Don't even think about going there on a Friday night.

Amazing! Big servings of good old fashioned comfort food. I got a ribeye steak, ribs AND grilled shrimp. All delicious. And the wife got her idea of heaven: an entree where they let you choose any four sides/ salads. A great idea. We shared a big ol brownie with ice cream on top for dessert, and we were two happy diners. YUM.

Officially my favorite place to eat in Utah. Right above Joe's Crab Shack...and closer. Jamie and I go here probably once every week or two, and I have yet to be disappointed. I have always been a huge Outback fan, so Texas Roadhouse had a hard road to follow, but every single time I have been there the service has been awesome, the steak is always tasty and cooked perfect ( mine is always medium ) and its not overpriced. And hey, free peanuts that you can throw on the floor.

Great steakhouse, but a bit pricey. My favorites are the Prime Rib and the Ribeye. Get the loaded sweet potato. Oh, and do the call ahead seating, far better than just walking in during the weekend or peak hours.

This is the second Texas Roadhouse I have been to. I really hoped that it would be a good experience but it was just horrible food wise. The only reason to go here is for the rolls and the peanuts that come free (3 stars for those). I came here with my family and we ordered a pulled pork and ribs combo and a rib eye steak with salads and fries. We also had an onion blossom for an appetizer. The blossom had no seasoning on it whatsoever and was not that great sadly. House salad there is mainly eggs which ruined an otherwise basic salad. Steak fries were pretty decent and the pulled pork was the best part of our meals. The ribs are charred (tasted burnt) on the outside and mediocre on the inside. My rib eye was suppose to be medium rare and in one area seemed great, but the middle of all places was like eating leather. On the plus side the rolls are good and the staff is very friendly and kind. The food came out in a timely manner. I will probably not give this chain another try. Really this is about a 1.5 star place but rounding up to 2 for the rolls, peanuts, and service. BTW the first time I ate at this chain in American Fork the prime rib tasted off and was very disappointing.

We have been coming to Texas Roadhouse here and other locations around the valley for years. (I remember having to drive to Taylorsville from Layton to get our Texas Roadhouse fix). We have always loved this place and will continue to be fans. They have fantastic steaks, salads and sides. Their Chicken fried chicken is amazing and our kids love the steak bites on the kid's menu. Free peanuts to eat while you wait for your table and at the table while waiting for your food. What's not to like?? Sure, there have been times when the steak wasn't cooked just perfect or it took a long time to be seated or slow waitresses, etc. Well so what? I see these reviews of people who have dined somewhere once and "will-never-come-here-again!!" That is so reactionary and small-minded. So you had a bad experience... oh boohoo. Just roll with the punches and enjoy. Things are going to happen sometimes. Was it really worth a bad review? Sheesh. (okay sorry, end of rant :-)) Just come here and enjoy a tasty steak and beverage, you won't be dissappointed!

Wanted to update the previous not so good food on 1/16 review. I did get contacted by Diania Ciresi from Texas Roadhouse Customer Relations. They were nice enough to provide a certificate for a meal there - very nice. We did go back with my daughter and had dinner on 4/5 (Easter). I was surprised Texas Roadhouse was open, and glad. They were very busy. The dinner was very good for all of us. Very good service from waiter and it turned out to be a fun time. Thanks for making this right, I appreciate your follow up Diania. Chicken Critters - you are going to be next.

I have been to the Texas Roadhouse several times over the last ten years and my experiences are mixed. Basically they are a casual dining restaurant. All meals come with their rolls that are a bit sweet and have a hint of cinnamon, very tasty. They also have shelled peanuts to snack on, I always enjoy those. The food is hit or miss, they have the standards, ribs, steak, chicken, etc. One nice thing is the side varieties, you can get something a little different to accompany their meals. Prices and service are average for this type of establishments.

I was OK with the 90 min wait (Val Day) but then were seated in middle of the room on a tiny table, when a booth came available next to us, I asked if we could move to a booth, and are waitress said "She couldn't make that decision because she doesnt have a walkie talkie". REALLY!? Apparently you need to make sure your waitress has a "Walkie Talkie"! Food was only so-so and the waitress also forgot to mention the 'special' they were having that night, that would haved saved us a few bucks. Unless we had a gift card, we won't go back.

5 stars for service 5 stars for waitress Nikkis tolerance for my family's demands. She is the best she hooked us up with endless baskets of rolls fresh out the oven. The cinnamon butter on is always the best. One of the reasons why we love this place is because of their fresh bread rolls. Yummy! We always go for the combinations sirloin and shrimp was my choice tonight this runs you about $15 bucks all though the portion on steak was a little let down it was still good to eat. I can see why my mom always goes for sirloin and ribs cause it is a platter fit for kings. With choices of many different sides. We always get the sweet potatoe bake not loaded, fresh veggies which is big broccoli pieces and baby carrots. My son had mashed potatoes with applesauce entree lil dillo bites. Yumm his steak was tendered than mine lol. You got to get there at a good time since they only open in the evening. Fast service though we make a joke as to why their hours are different is because all day they make rolls for the crowd in high demands :D

Fair food, but pushy service. Typical American style restaurant service: Get in, get out. This place is not a place to go to enjoy your time with loved ones. Yes, the meat is pretty good (not great). I asked for a ribeye, medium. It came out well done. I was with a party of eight, and everyone's steak, or meat, was cooked one step closer towards well done than what they ordered. I must say my partner's ribs were good, but that dish was the best compared to the rest. The server gave us our checks before cleaning off the table, so we were all visiting over our dirty dishes and trying to review our checks. It was hard to find a place to put the check down to sign because there were so many plates in the way. We left the place and our dishes were still on the table. Not a very nice dining experience at all, and we won't be going back there any time soon.

Only downside if your a big guy - they have 4 tables the rest of this place is booths. Outside of the obvious design flaw - its a good place and the rolls are great!
